Freedom for them. Peace of mind for you.

One calm screen for someone you love in assisted living. They call family with a tap, tell you they're okay, see their day, and can always reach help. You get the circle that hears them — and a nudge if a day goes quiet. No tracking, no subscription, ever.

What they get

One screen. Everything that matters.

No menus to get lost in, no feeds, no noise. Four things, big and clear, all of them theirs.

Tap a face to call

Family is one tap away.

No dialer, no contact list to navigate. Tap Daniel's face and it rings Daniel. Photos, never menus — built for older eyes and less steady hands.

I'm okay today

They send it. You breathe.

One green tap and the family knows they're fine. They give the reassurance — they aren't tracked into it. That's the whole idea: they initiate, family receives.

Today

Their day, on their terms.

Morning pills, tea with Margaret — gentle reminders under their control. Family can add to the day, but never invisibly: anything added is clearly labeled and can always be removed.

I need help

Help that can't misfire.

One clear button reaches a real person. A true emergency call is there too — always behind a calm confirm, so a stray tap never dials an ambulance. Real calls, through the phone's own dialer.

The family circle

Two phones. One quiet thread.

Wave runs on their phone and on yours. Theirs is the warm home screen. Yours sets up the circle — up to six people who hear from them, and hear if a day goes quiet.

You set up the circle

On your own phone, you create the circle and add the family — names and how each person prefers to hear. Their phone joins with a six-character code. No accounts, no passwords, for anyone.

Everyone says yes first

Each person gets one email and confirms from their own inbox. Nobody is added to a circle without agreeing to it, and a "no thanks" deletes their address on the spot.

Word arrives, free

Check-ins and emergencies land as real notifications on every family phone — or by email if that's easier. No app to install, and never a per-message charge.

And if the day stays quiet

You choose an hour to start worrying — say eleven in the morning. If no check-in has come by then, the circle gets a gentle nudge: "No check-in from Alex by 11:00 — maybe give a ring." That's the one thing this whole category charges a subscription for. Here it comes with the app, free, forever — because an older adult talking to their family should never be metered.

Why it's different

Dignity is the product.

Most "senior safety" apps quietly become surveillance the family loves and the person resents. Wave is built the other way up.

They initiate

Every signal the family sees is one they sent themselves — the only exception is word that a quiet day stayed quiet. The safety net stays invisible until it's truly needed.

No tracking

No GPS, no location history, no camera watching, no activity dashboard. If it would feel like being watched, it isn't in Wave.

Big & readable

Large type, generous targets, high contrast, and lots of air. Built for older eyes and hands that aren't as steady as they were.

Real phone calls

Calls go through the phone's own dialer — reliable, familiar, and they work even when the app doesn't.

Family stays close

Up to six people, each one having said yes by email first. What they get is a gentle "they're okay today" — and a nudge on a quiet morning. Peace of mind, not a monitoring console.

For every ability

Designed with older adults and people with limited mobility or dexterity in mind — including those who need a little help answering.

FAQ

Fair questions.

Is Wave a monitoring app?

No. There's no GPS, no location tracking, and no dashboard of their activity. Everything family sees is something they sent — with one deliberate exception, and we'd rather name it than hide it: if no check-in has arrived by the hour you chose, the circle is told that none arrived. Absence is the only thing Wave ever reports on its own, and they know it works that way.

Does the family need the app too?

Only the person setting up the circle runs Wave on their own phone. Everyone else confirms by email once, then gets notifications on whatever phone they already have — no app to install, no account, nothing to buy.

What does the Wave server store?

Deliberately almost nothing: a circle id, hashed pairing tokens, their first name, timezone, the worry window and check-in rhythm you chose, family contact handles with each person's alert preference, and a single timestamp of the last check-in — overwritten, not a history. No location, no message contents, no contact books, no analytics. The full list is on our privacy page, published word for word.

Is there a subscription?

No, and there won't be. Wave is bought once, and the family channel — check-ins, quiet-morning nudges, emergencies — is included free, forever. The only paid extra is text messages for relatives without a smartphone, passed through at what they cost us. An older adult talking to their family should never be metered.

Who sets up their schedule?

They own it. Family can help — repeating things like medication get set up once, together — and anything family adds appears clearly labeled and can be removed. Nothing ever changes behind their back.

What about real emergencies?

The help button reaches a real person — family or the facility's nurse line. A true emergency-services call is there too, always behind a calm "are you sure?" confirm so an accidental tap never dials an ambulance.

Who is Wave for?

Older adults — especially in assisted living — and people with limited mobility or dexterity, plus the families who love them. The name says it: the check-in is a wave — a simple hello that says I'm okay.

When can I get it?
